On "Flowers for Algernon"

Reflect on Charlie’s experiences and the concept of increasing one’s intelligence through surgery. If such a thing were possible, how would you feel about everyone in the world being made into geniuses? Consider both the “fairness” and consequences.

If such a thing was possible, that everyone in the world could be made into geniuses, I would think that the world would be changed, and consequences resulting in good and bad would occur. If all of us could be made into geniuses, it is obvious to assume that the average of the world's intelligence level would have little or no change at all. If everyone's brain power and I.Q. were to grow in a huge amount, the intelligence expectation would indubitably increase, as well as advanced subjects being taught to people. I would feel that there would be no point in this, as it would seem that people are still at the same intelligence when compared to others.
There would be a high possibility of bad consequences due to this process. Since everyone would become much smarter than before, technology would advance. While it seems that technology advancing would be a good thing, there will always be bad people out there. Good and bad people will have advanced brains, so advancements in the wrong areas would also likely occur, resulting in even more dangerous situations (such as nuclear weapons becoming even stronger and destructive).
If everyone in the world was made a genius, I feel that the world would still be as "fair" as it is today, but might also be even closer to the verge of total cataclysm.
